Ava is 6 months!!!

Oh my goodness. I can't believe that she has been here for half a year! Time is going by so fast. I'm loving every moment here with Ava. I never take anything for granted. I love the cuddling, the crying, the laughing and the poopie diapers!! She's now on the move...very slowly LOL. She doesn't crawl normally but the girl still can move. She pulls herself with her arms, or she'll keep pushing off with her knees. It's cute. I call it the zombie  crawl. She tried new food this month. Ava ate potatoes, apricots, broccoli, and oatmeal! She drinks around 34oz a day. I think she's going through a growth spurt, so this probably will change soon. Now when you look in Ava's mouth you can see the outline of her teeth, so they should be popping up soon. She has also been VERY cranky. So that might be related. That or she takes after her father. Just kidding Pete! Now for some pictures!

A little update

I have been so tired because of Ava never napping and not sleeping through the night. I was looking up ways to get this girl in line. Me and Pete went to the book store and looked up "crying it out". Before I had her I was so against it. I felt like she would hate us if we didn't get to her as soon as she cried. Enough was enough. We started it last week. Hardest thing ever!! I hated hearing her cry. I may have even shed some of my own tears. That first night she cried for 40 minutes before she went to sleep. She woke up and cried every hour. As the days went on the crying happend less and less. Now she gets her bath at 7. We go in her room with her, read her a book and give her the last bottle for the night. She wakes up between 7:30-8 am. Perfect. To make her sleep longer she has 2 naps a day. No more napping on demand. She sleeps at 11am and 3pm. This makes a happier baby and happier parents. It's Fall Y'all!!

It's obvious the North Carolina slang is rubbing on me lol. I'm so excited for Halloween. I haven't gotten excited about it in a long time. Since I became a parent I have something to look forward to. Dressing up my baby in whatever I want!! We actually picked out her costume today. It's a surprise so I can't let anyone know. But you all can find out on Halloween! Yesterday we went to the pumpkin patch. It was on a beautiful huge farm. As soon as we got off the hayride the driver said "Ok everyone watch out for critters and snakes, we are in the country." We ended up getting 3 pumpkins. A huge one for Pete, a medium one for me and a tiny one for Ava. She was obsessed with her pumpkin and got upset when I took it away. Here are some pictures from our fun filled day!

Daddy and Ava!

I love seeing Pete with Ava. Not to mention when she's with him I'm getting a break LOL. She adores him. The way she looks at him is insane. There's so much love between them. So it only makes sense that she says "dada" all day long. It's so sweet. When we wake up in the mornings and Pete is already at work, I swear she looks for him. I'll let all the pictures do the talking!
