This was me and Pete's 5th Christmas together and it was my favorite so far. This was the first year that we actually had a Christmas tree in the house. Last year we didn't get one because he was still in the Marine Corps and it didn't make sense to buy one and then leave it when we came up to NJ to celebrate with family. We decided to get a fake tree this year and it turned out really nice. We started out with hardly any ornaments, but with the help of both of our mothers we got a bunch. This year Ava was real into everything too. She loved going over everyone's house and seeing their tree, and opening up gifts too. This year we got a little visitor to help us celebrate too. Our elf on the shelf named Bobby. As soon as she would wake up in the morning, she would run around the house looking for him. Every now and then she still will look for him. It's a little sad but we can't wait for him to come back next year.

This year we got a pretty good amount of snow. We were able to go sledding and Pete even built a snow man on the balcony. Pete will attempt to build a snowman with just a dusting though…he's obsessed lol.
