I can't believe my baby is a year and a half old!! I'm going to have a 2 year old in 6 months. THAT'S NUTS!!! She has changed so much in such a short amount of time. She's like a sponge. You really have to watch what you say around her because she will repeat it. The words she says are, mommy, dada, pete (all my fault I know), mom mom, pop pop, mine, fox, baby, ball, eat, no, yes, ready, shoe, sock, feet, eye, button, flower, water, juice, quack, moo, woof, hello, hi, bye, minnie (minnie mouse), maya, JJ (which she calls Jason), all done, gone, more, and I know I'm missing some but you get the idea! She's a genius LOL. When I tell people she's 18 months they can't believe it because she's so darn tall. She is 25lbs and 34in. The doctor said because she's so tall, she can afford to gain more weight. She is tall and skinny.Maybe she will be a model. She has such a great personality. If Ava sees anyone crying she gets so sad and concerned. I have never met anyone this age who is so into books. She will let you read all day to her. She goes in her room, grabs a few and sits right down on your lap. Ava has been obsessed with this one song (thanks Jason and Niyell) called "what does a fox say" She dances and sings along, and it was super cute watching this happen the first 10 times. We must listen to this song 30 times a day! She grabs my phone or points to the tv and yells "FOX". But hey at least she learned some new words from that annoying song. She completely understands mostly everything we tell her. So when she doesn't listen it's time out time. Normally I can just threaten her with time out and she will listen lol. She finally got picky with her food. The only foods she will never turn down are, rice, fish, ice cream, french fries, ravioli, and spagetti-o's. She smiles on command (when she wants to) and boy is it a smile. She shows every tooth in her mouth...and she has 12. For 5 days now I have been starting to put Ava to sleep in her crib for both bedtime and nap time. Some times have been hard but mostly I just put her in the crib, kiss her close the door and she goes right to sleep. It does break my heart when she calls out for me when I walk away, but she needs to get the heck out of our bedroom. She sleeps sideways in there and me and Pete deserve a good night sleep. Now for some pictures of my favorite little girl.
