Literally for the past 3 months. I've been trying to prepare Ava for the Easter bunny. I know how she is with meeting characters, and she's normally not good. She won't even talk to a big elmo from sesame street. I told her that if she didn't sit on the bunny's lap he wouldn't drop her off an Easter basket. On the way to the mall, while me and Pete were talking her through it we were convinced that it was going to end up being a great picture. Soon as she spotted him she waved to him, he waved back so we were solid. Luckily before us the perfect child went up to sit on his lap. This girl was hugging him and kissing him. We were hoping Ava would do the same. When it was our turn Ava grabbed on to my hand for dear life and walked up to the bunny. Before she sat on his lap she looked right at me and said "mommy I'll sit on his lap but I'm not going to smile, but don't worry he will still come over my house". Me and Pete were stunned...
But at least her outfit was cute!
When Easter morning came, she ran downstairs in search for her basket. Peter of course hid it in a place where I wouldn't even have found it, so we had to help. She was so excited to see all the goodies. When she got to the bottom of the basket she said "Santa thank you". Wrong holiday kiddo. After she was done I had to force her to eat breakfast because I refuse to just let her eat junk all day.
so happy. but half asleep
When we were finished at home we went to my parent's house so Ava could see them and get basket number 2. Oh and so Pete could get my mother's potato salad lol.
going through her basket. her favorite thing was the jump rope!
As soon as we took of her green jacket she decided it was time for a photo shoot so everyone could see her bunny sweater dress. Whatever you want kiddo
Big smile
the signature pose is back!
When we were done with Grandpa and Gonna (grandma) we headed to Nona and Dewey's house for lunch/dinner. We were the first ones there because that's how Pete rolls lol. As soon as Ava walked in Nona was there to greet her with a basket.
she loved everything in there. her favorite this time was a beautiful summer dress
A book for the kid still cooking in my tummy!
I'm ashamed at all the sweets I ate that day. Everything was delicious!
