Ava's Birthday At Home

On April 17th we woke up and gave Ava a huge breakfast!! We both woke up before her (which is a first) and just watched her sleep. It's so hard to believe that she was born a whole year ago. It was honestly the fastest year of my life. It's so bittersweet. I wish she could stay my little baby forever but I love watching her grow into this extremely active toddler LOL. That morning we also buried Pete's granny. It was such a sad funeral, but she is in a better place now. It was sweet to hear all the family's memories of her. When the funeral was over, we went to my parent's house to pick up the birthday girl!! When we got home I quickly decorated the house (I'm so last minute it's ridiculous) with some streamers and a banner. Then some of the fam came over to help celebrate my little girl.

12 Month Update

Alright...let's pretend that I didn't just slap on and take her 12 month pictures 10mins ago. I totally forgot where I put her sticker! Then when I found it, I kept putting it off. Ava keeps me so busy. She's all over the place. Let's get to it. She had her 1 year Dr appointment on April 18th a day after her birthday. As soon as we got in there the nurse walked in to get her stats. She always remembers him so whenever he is in the room with her she's on edge lol. After we were done holding her down we found out that she was 22lbs and 32inches long. She didn't gain too much weight because she had some tummy issues the previous week. So she's like 60% for weight and 95% for height. So tall and skinny. Every woman's dream! We talked to the Dr about the words she's been saying and she's super advanced in the vocab department!! Guess me and Pete are doing something right! Ava has been so sweet lately. She basically gives hugs and kisses on demands, and I can't get enough of them. Her personality is really blossoming. Oh and now Ava has 7 teeth! She shadows all of her big cousins and loves them all. She will hardly watch tv. Whenever she hears any type of music she starts dancing. She's pretty awesome and I enjoyed watching her grow so much. I know people are starting to call her a toddler...but she's still my baby...Even when she's 50 she'll be my baby!
