On July 17, Ava turned 15 months. She is growing up so fast. Recently her vocabulary has really evolved. She says baby, mama, dada, pop pop, no, up, hi, bye, what, eat, ball, woah, duck, and quack. Recently she also says "Patty" when she plays patty cake! When she went to her 15 month well check she weighed in at 24lbs and 32 1/2in tall! When we were in the waiting room someone asked if she was 2, so we have a tall little girl on our hands lol. While she was there she got her ears pierced!! I swear it made her look so much older, it's nuts.

Was searching for my GF's blog and came across your interesting one. Came to a recent entry where you had your toddler girls ears pierced. You were smart mommy for doing it now. Some may differ, but she'll thank you later!
ReplyDeleteThis was a perfect age to pierce her ears! She is totally precious with those cute earrings.I believe it is always best done early when she wouldn’t remember and have mommy care for them during the healing phase. When they’re older, they will think they are a part of them and won’t bother them.
Our ped encouraged me to do it when mommy could care for them. Also, she gave me some tips for moms helping them to find the right person, place and type of earrings to use for infants having their ears pierced.
Would be happy to share by e-mail with any moms wanting more info.
